While you are reading this we are spending an amazing time in Egypt! We left the cold and snowfull Netherlands for two weeks of sun and relaxation. We decided to leave our MacBooks at home and do absolutely nothing, not even blogging. Nevertheless we wanted to take the time to wish you all a merry christmas. We hope that all of you will have a wonderful time together with friends and family. Enjoy the last days of 2010 and we hope to see you back on our blog in 2011!

Paris, Je t’aime!
I have spend four days in my beloved Paris together with my boyfriend and I had an amazing time! Paris is so lovely, so magical, I can’t help but to majorly love this city. After arriving really early in the morning we went to this little cute hotel in Montmartre to drop of our luggage. We started our first day in Paris with a lunch at one of my favorite places and I had the most delicious croque madame ever. In the hours after we walked through Montmartre, saw the Sacre Coeur, burned a candle, climbed the Arc the Triomphe, drank to much hot chocolate, walked the Champs-Elysees, spend more than a hour in the Louis Vuitton store, walked through the Christmas market and spend many hours in the Louvre. A good first day right? To make it even better we decided to have dinner at my favorite salad restaurant, which was totally amazing. I need to get my hands on their recipe! We used the second day to do some shopping in the city. I bought some goodies at Chanel, which I will show you later in a shoplog. On Sunday we went to this outlet village nearby Paris where we did some shopping as well and afterwards we went to see the Eiffel Tower! Gosh I love it. We had champagne on top and had an amazing view over the city. How not to love Paris? On our last day we went to have breakfast at LadurĂ©e. Did I already mentioned I love this city? After buying a bunch of macarons and a LadurĂ©e cookbook we decided to see the Notre Dame and walk around the Seine. Later that day we got back to our hotel to pick up the luggage and started our trip back to The Netherlands. Paris, I love you!

My birthday party!
My birthday party was last Saturday. I celebrated my 18th birthday with a high-tea for family and friends. My mom, Andy and me spend two days in the kitchen to make everything you see on the pictures above. I baked over 90 cupcakes and Andy made about 120 sandwiches. My mom used my new Desperate Housewives Cookbook to make some meatloaf and filled eggs. Both recipes were very tasteful so I can recommended everybody to buy the Desperate Housewives Cookbook! We obviously made way to much so Andy and I have been eating apple pie and cupcakes ever since, but I did had a great birthday and it will definitely be a day that I will never forget. Other than that I want to thank all of you for the birthday wishes in my last post. It is really appreciated!
With love,
Lysa
